Environmental studies and conducting geological tests at the proposed site for the construction of a nuclear power plant to be built in northern Golestan Province (a coastal province) have been completed.
He said Iran plans to launch a radiation complex in Golestan Province for agricultural purposes, including increasing the storage time of agricultural products without using pesticides and seeds modification.
Earlier in February, Eslami has asserted Iran’s position as one of the leaders in scientific progress, declaring that the country is on the top of the chart of scientific progress in the world.
Last year, during an unveiling ceremony of three new radiomedicines in Tehran, he said that the new drugs brought the number of the Iranian-produced radiopharmaceuticals to 50.
“10 more radiodrugs will hit the production line in the upcoming months,” he added.
